Among my favorite katsinam by Darance Makwesa Chimerica are his Pok or Dog katsinam. Note the vibrant yellow coloring along with the deep black and brown. The carving is 10″ tall and 3″ wide. It tiny shells attached to the painted bandeliers and is in mint condition. As with all his carvings this Dog is precisely carved and painted. It is signed on the base of the kilt with his usual cloud symbol with a dot in the middle.
