There are a number of different types of Aykatsinam or Rattle figures. This one is by innovative carver, Cimmaron Grover. It is done in his minimalist style with a flat back, upraised arms and tiny feet. I bought this from Cimmaron when I was in AZ in December 2021. The katsina is 11″ tall including the feather. It is painted with traditional gritty mineral and vegetal pigments.
