Jason Johnson Nasewytewa from Kiqotsmovi is one of the few who makes jumping jack katsinam. This is his version of a Tsaveyo, an Ogre. The figure is made of 8 jointed parts. As shown on the video I posted on Facebook, pulling the attached strings produces different forms of movement. The katsina is 12 1/2” tall not including the feathers and 10” wide with arms extended. The diverse photos show the various positions of the arms and legs when the strings are pulled. A very unusual piece.
